Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar

Iron Gym is the multi function training bar that combines every exercise you need to build a powerful upper body. Its the ultimate body sculpting and strength building tool that helps shape the upper body and tones your midsection. The durable steel construction holds up to 300 lbs. It is designed to fit residential doorways 24" to 32" wide with doorway trim or molding up to 3 ½ inches wide.

Strengthen your back, biceps, and other upper body muscles in the comfort of your living room or dorm with the Iron Gym workout bar. Designed to fit conveniently in most doorway frames or sit on the floor for pushups, dips, and sit-ups, the Iron Gym is an ideal choice for people who want to get fit without buying expensive, space-intensive weight sets. When installed in the doorway, the device lets you perform pull-ups and chin-ups, with three grip positions--narrow, neutral, and wide--for working the inner and outer back. Once you're done with your back workout, you can quickly move the Iron Gym to the floor, where you can perform pushups while facing down, tricep dips while facing the other way, or sit-ups using the Iron Gym for foot stability.

The Iron Gym--whose durable steel frame installs quickly without tools or fasteners--holds up to 300 pounds and is designed to fit residential doorways 24 to 32 inches wide, with doorway trim or molding up to 3.5 inches wide.

Review by J. Wilkins from Wisconsin:

My house is over 60 years old and the door frames are wider than todays designs. Measure your doorways and make sure your trim is 2"-4". My trim is almost 5" wide. I've read that smaller frames don't offer enough support. If you have no frame the bar will not work. I used it at my dads and it had good support.

Review by Remo Williams from Gaithersburg, Maryland United States:

Basically you get what you pay for with the Iron Gym. Don't expect to do dips with it (as shown in the commercial there is not much range of motion in dips). But as far as pull-ups go it is great. I weigh 240 lbs and it supports me well. It's a little tough to do really wide grip pull-ups but that is a limitation of doing them in a door frame, so to be expected... All in all, I got exactly what I expected.

My boys love this and have been using it since they recieved it. It does not damage door jams at all. The only problem is that I found it for[...] cheaper on a TV ad.

Review by M. Jorgensen from Orem, Utah:

Pullups are the ultimate upper back workout. Between pullups and pushups you can work just about every muscle in your upper body. So far the product has done zero damage to my door or wall, while giving my back a burn that only good workouts can do. If you can't do at least 5 pullups, you have no business doing bicep curls.

I'd highly recommend getting the Iron Gym.

This product works fine. You may need to retighten the bolts and nuts from time to time due to use. But, otherwise a simple effective product. Even my 4 year old uses it, maybe not for the original purpose, but he gets a workout as well. You are not able to shut the door all the way, but not a big concern. If you're using this in conjunction with a work out video like I am, it is hard to find a door sill pointing in the direction of the TV. Shipped in a timely manner. Good product.
