Betty Crocker Complete Meals, Chicken & Buttermilk Biscuits, 27-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 3)

I was turned off by the dog food taste of the stroganoff by this brand but this one is quite good. The Chicken and biscuits are really tasty. It's not as easy to make as the others since you have to make a dough but it's well worth it.

When I purchased the "Chicken & Buttermilk Biscuits" dinner I certainly did not expect it to contain beef broth. I haven't eaten beef in years. So, if you do not eat beef please be aware that in the list of ingredients in the Seasoning Blend -- Beef Broth is listed.
For that reason if I could I'd give it a Minus Five star rating.

I HAD PURCHASED THIS WITHOUT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND YOU REALLY SOLD ME. I ENDED UP BUYING MORE LOCALLY AND THERE IS MORE CHICKEN THAN INDICATED. IN FACT I GOOFED UP USING WRONG PAN SIZE AND HAD TO POUR INTO SMALLER PAN AND IT STILL COOKED UP GREAT!

A great quick meal for two, with some leftover!!! I often add a piece or two of leftover chicken that I have frozen earlier, and a small package of frozen veggies, to make a great 'pot pie' effect. Well worth the price!!!

I live alone and am tired of cooking just for me---so I read reviews of this product and thought--ok I will take a chance! I love "comfort" type food--even junky food like Chicken A LA King dishes. I was looking forward to making this--and I figured that a box that says it would serve 5 would make a dinner for me and left-overs or maybe to share with a guest!

Prep is very easy---open a can--and measure out water. DONE! It looked beautiful out of my toaster oven even! Bubbly and golden brown! Even smelled pretty good. Now the letdown! It tasted like soup! And kind of watery soup at that--with mushy bread thrown in it! Hardly any vegetables and even less chicken! How sad! For the price--I could heat up a creamy chicken soup and throw in white bread! I have 2 more boxes to go--I think I will have to make this when I have left-over chicken and a can of mixed vegetables to throw in! That might make it feel more of meal?? If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve this--I would love to hear them! Sorry Betty--but the contents dont do this justice! Wheres the beef???
