I recently purchased this snowthrower at a competing store for under $400. Living in Wisconsin, I am familiar with numerous snowfalls throughout the winter, including heavy snow, light snow, and getting through the chunks the plows send into the driveway. I have been very pleased with the snow blower so far. It has not clogged on me yet, and does a great job throwing the snow over the piles along the driveway. The chute rotates easily, and as other reviewers mentioned, it does pull itself nicely in lighter snow. Two things I would maybe improve would be to get "beefier" wheels that have better grip, and an easier to read oil dipstick. Otherwise, once you familiarize youself with the settings, it starts easily and gets the job done!

Lets get real here. Men(and boys) like to throw things, shoot things, and launch projectiles of any kind, including snow. Well, I have been shoveling for gazzillions of years, and finally decided to get a "Snowthrower". I purchased this unit at Fleet Farm and fired her up today. Honestly, I didn't have too much snow to throw accept for the leftovers from shoveling the other day, but this sucker was fun. It was powerful and didn't slow down at all, even as I hacked through the stuff at the bottom of the driveway leftover from the street snow plow. You have to admit, you start to feel like a kid again when your shootin' snow. I almost felt like just making tracks in the yard just to watch this baby pump powder. Whew! It is a nice machine for only $389 at Fleet farm. Again, I've only had it 1 day, but I'm impressed so far. Well, back to pacing and waiting for the next snowfall.

This is my 3rd snow blower. It is very well designed and easy to operate. It starts easily with or without the electric start once you find the right settings of the choke and primer. Two days after I purchased it we had 3.5 inches of snow here in Oshkosh Wisconsin. I was supprised to find that the rotating blade pulls the snowblower foreward at a slow speed in heavier snow and very fast in light snow. It is light enough to run up a light ramp into my van for use in other places. With a two year warranty I purchased it on sale for $400.00. Even in heavier snow it throws it 20 to 30 feet with no bogging down. I am very pleased.

Lets cut to the chase. This snow thrower has ballz. I used it for the first time today, i live in Wisconsin where we get plenty of snow, and the it ran like a champ. Despite its size it can throw snow as well as a larger snow blower. However the snow chute can and WILL plug up when throwing very WET slushy snow. As the augers suck in snow it will help pull the machine so the operator does'nt need to push very hard at all. Simple and easy to use i like it much better than the much larger self-propelled snow blowers. It's a tad over priced here, i got mine for $399 at another store. It comes fully assembled just add 5w-30 and gas and in not time you'll be done.
