We bought this cook-top cleaner in order to clean off an old cooktop surface that is very stained. It took off the newer (less burnt on) stains very easily. With a large amount of elbow grease, we were only able to make a small dent in the old stains. Generally, I would recommend this product, but it isn't magic.

I totally agree with the previous review. It does no better than any spray cleaner and a Scotch Brite scouring pad that I use on my non-stick cookware. As far as the film that is characteristic of all class cooktops, this product does nothing for that. I'm surprised that this is still on the market. It's expensive and a waste of money.

I looked all over for this product in stores, thinking it would be a great product. I was so disappointed. It did an OK job of removing surface dirt, but no better than anything else I have used. It did not remove any of the burned on mess that cheaper cleaners do. Save your money and use a liquid cooktop cleaner or Barkeeper's Friend. Even plain old baking soda and a sponge does a better job than this does.
