Fisher-Price Mickey Motors Raceway

Start your engines, kids! With the Mickey Motors Speedway, kids charge up their cars at the two Rev 'n Go stations along the track, then send them speeding away for head-to-head racing fun with Mickey and Pete. Use the Mickey hand elevator to raise the cars to the upper tracks for extreme high-speed fun. Silly sound effects and fun Mickey phrases accompany the fun as kids charge up their cars. Playset is packed with more than 20 phrases and sounds in all. Includes two racecars. Requires three "AA" batteries, included. Measures 15"L x 7"W x 18"H.

Stand up and cheer for Mickey and Pete as they race around the Fisher-Price Mickey Motors Raceway! Children ages 3 and up will love revving up the engines and letting cars speed around the track. By using the Mickey hand elevator, the cars can be sent to the tracks high in the air, speeding down to the finish.

Bright, Colorful Track
With a two-level bright, colorful track, kids will be eager to start racing their cars. The track itself features two lanes side-by-side, along with several Mickey-inspired touches to the raceway's design, including Mickey Ear archways, a Mickey Hand-operated elevator, and more.

Parents may need to help assemble the race course, which takes about 10 minutes. Although not necessary for racing, three AA batteries are needed for the sound effects to work, which we highly recommend for the enjoyment they add to the game.

Engaging, Hands-On Fun
Kids will love the interaction that the Mickey Motors Raceway provides. They can make the two included race cars (one with Mickey driving and the other with Pete) go by placing them on the launcher and pumping on the Mickey ear charger to "rev" the engine. A Mickey voice will count each time you pump, and when the voice reaches 10, it will tell you to "Go Racer One!" To launch the racer, you press down on the Mickey hand and off it goes. Kids will need to charge the racer after each lap to maintain speed, and Mickey will tell you what lap you're on.

One of the fun features is the elevator. As racers ride into the tower, depending on whether the elevator is up or down, they will either pass through or stop in the elevator. When they stop in the elevator, kids will love raising the elevator using the Mickey hand, and then watching the racers race back down to the ground on the red track.

Although there are two tracks, we wished that the racers would have raced side-by-side. Instead, the racers start from different ends and the game keeps count of how many laps the racers have done to see who is winning. We think the Raceway will provide a lot of fun for younger children, but older children might prefer a racing game that puts more of an emphasis on competition and skill.

Two racers are included, but more can be collected and raced to add to the fun.

Sound Effects Galore!
The Mickey Motors Raceway provides a variety of sound effects and sayings that will have kids thrilled and giggling. Mickey will say both cheerful and informational things such as: "I think we need a pit stop!," "Faster than a speeding mouse!," and "Hooooooot dog!"

Review by K. Alberts from Illinois:

I would have to say for the money, this toy is NOT worth it. I have three boys, 6, 4 and 20 months. The bottom of this toy is in three pieces and it easily comes apart. Of course I expect my 20 month old to take it apart but if he just tries to run the car on the track, the track easily falls apart. It was not designed very well for play. It really is just designed for you to run the car by automatically which stated by someone else only goes one round. The other disappointing thing is we were expecting to be able to race and actually have a winner but the designed of the ramps are different and one is shorter than the other so you truely can not race them. I personally would love to take this toy back but Santa brough it for my almost 4 year old and it is mickey mouse so we have to keep it. Every day when he wants to play with it, I have to put it back together which is so aggrevating.

Review by G. Aurigemma from Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey United States:

This toy is a ton of fun, but there are some design flaws. First off the tracks have a tendancy to come apart. The upper track has an odd design, you leave the elevator down and then manually lift it to get to the upper track, this should have been done differently. Also, the area where you rev the cars up to make them go has a small piece to hold the car in place.... After playing with it for two days one of these pieces broke off, luckily I was able to fix it, though Fisher-Price should work on some of the design problems.

This is a fun toy which will offer fun and enjoyment for kids, but it will also offer some frustration.

Review by Craig from Massachusetts:

This toy is aweful. The cars only go one and a half laps. They get stuck on the track seams. The worst part is the constant need to put it back together. We tried to glue it together without much success. Very frustrating toy for our 3 year old son and his parents.

Review by D. Ely from Warren PA:

This is an incredibly cheaply made product. This was #1 on my sons Christmas list. When it works he's very happy, but only the slightest nudge makes it come apart, which is very frustrating to him. Poor poor quality which resulted in a sadly disappointing "big" gift. Tremendously overpriced.

Review by AC from NJ from old bridge, NJ United States:

My 2 1/2 year old loves this. I play with one car while he plays with the other. He needed help revving up the cars and charging them but got the hang of it after 10 minutes. Only complaint is, as with other plastic toys, the track comes off pretty easily. I may try to remedy this with some crazy glue.
