My children were given this for Christmas. First of all, the sound on it is so low that I have to turn the volume up to almost full blast just to hear it at a decent level. Then I have to remember to lower the volume after I turn it off so we're not surprised by the high volume when we watch something else. Second, it's not meant for tv's larger than 27 inches so if you have a tv with a larger screen it looks terrible. For really young kids it doesn't matter as much but it usually only entertains them for a short time. The volume is enough of an issue to prevent me from recommending it. Also, if you're looking for something educational, look for something else. If the volume issue was corrected and had characters the kids knew (e.g. Dora, Mickey Mouse etc.) the kids would probably enjoy it more.

The Playskool Dance cam is a great idea for parents who have children under the age of 5. The dance cam provides entertainment and music for the young children when they see themselves on the TV. My daughter loves it, she is only 2, but she loves dancing to it and she smiles and giggles when she sees herself on our TV. I will be honest the picture quality, and sound is not state of the art, but what does one expect from Playskool. This is not a high definition item like a plasma TV, it is a child's toy. The price is a little high, but if you have children under 5 years old, I guarantee that she/he will love it. Seeing my daughter dance on our TV makes me smile. Who knows maybe if your child sees themselves on the TV then maybe they will start to sing and dance and eventually when they grow up, they might end up on a real TV show like American Idol or Dancing with the Stars. I know that that the last statement is far fetched but honestly this Dance Cam is a good idea for young children. The worst thing that could happen is that you are not satisfy and return it. Just make sure you are aware of the return policy. Hope this helps someone to at least think about buying this for their young child. I did and my daughter could not be happier.

I got such a steal on this item. My daughter loves to watch herself dance. We have another brand like this but this one is sooo much better!
Great for kids!

This product was shipped quickly and my daughter really enjoys playing with this toy. The only thing is that it works better on a smaller tv and then the kids can't see themselves as well, but other than that its a fun toy.

My 2,4 and 5 year old love their dance cam! I bought it on amazon when it was like 50% off. It is not the best of quality for our large screen tv but when it was on sale it was worth it. I don't think I would buy it again if I couldn't get a good deal on it.
