How can you really go wrong with a big set of Legos? My five year old absolutely loves building with these, just as his daddy did when he was growing up. This toy is timeless!

This was purchased as my 5 year old's first Lego set. He loves it! There are plenty of bricks for him to be creative with. My husband and I were a little disappointed because no windows, doors, or wheels were included. Luckily this is his first set so he did not realize what he was missing! We were able to go to the Lego website and order them and a plate seperately.

As always....lots of Lego fun!

Review by The Carrlands Review from Ohio:

This set has more interest for us parents than the kids, but it's still a great set. When my sister sent this to our house the 8-year-old kind of shrugged but we were excited. Just because all his other Lego sets had a cool photo of ONE item to build doesn't mean he can't have fun with a whole box and his imagination! Now if Lego had some "building ideas" diagrams to download/purchase with blueprints or step by step, that would add to the appeal. Part of the fun for our budding engineer is having a complex diagram to follow, and he can still be creative with many ideas from which to choose, instead of building one ship identical to the next. In fact, if Lego is moving in the direction of more unstructured sets, I'd applaud them. I'd highly recommend this set, just be prepared to ignore the groans, start building something on your own with some of the the 700+ bricks and show them how its done. Before long the kids will add their two cents. As for the Gold Brick, I guess we'll just take that to the bank.

Review by Sofia Hernandez from Woodside, NY:

Ok, so my 2 year old loves Legos, so when I saw this massive set, I became excited.

To my dismay, after opening I realized that the pieces are super small. Small as in a quarter of an inch for some very small pieces.

The set is still great, just my fault for not realizing that legos could indeed get that small. My two daughters ages 4 & 6 are really enjoying the versatility of these now smaller pieces because they can get very creative. I just fear all of these things all over my house.

Great set to have... children that are old enough and can be trusted to not swallow the pieces can really make some fun & creative things.

I was asked to write a review for this product by Amazon.....
I mean...come on. They are LEGO'S....the possibilities are endless with this toy. FUN..yes. EDUCATIONAL..yes. DURABLE..yes. Just buy them. Any kid/adult would love it! They CAN be a little pricey at times....just price check and you'll get a good deal. This particular edition (50th Anniversary) had A gold "brick" in it. I was thinking there would be several of them....but there was just ONE. It is a 750 piece box...I thought they could have thrown a few more in there. At any rate...it's still a good investment. I just have to break up the fighting when one of my three kids gets to that ONE gold brick first. :)
