The TV is great - no arguments at all.

However, the service from Amazon sucked. First, the package had previously been opened and the unit assembled - I assume by a buyer. When I got it, they had put most of the packaging back like new, except things were wrinkled and not taped, and the package was missing - are you ready for this? - the screws that mount the TV to the base. Consequently, I couldn't use the TV.

I wrote Amazon about this - no reply in 2 days. So, I returned the unit.

I guess the economy is causing their customer service to lag - just a mite.

If you buy this - buy it somewhere else.

This Samsung LCD TV is wonderful. The picture is crystal clear and the sound is quite good. It is a great TV at a reasonable price!

The TV is as advertised. However, the software image processing does not appear to be the equal to that of the Phillips 37-inch 720p LCD that I have used for some time. On the Phillips you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between it and a 1080p. The Samsung makes me wish I had held out for a 1080P, but to be fair this may be due to the legacy 25' S-video cable I use to drive the video - must switch to HDMI.

I use the Samsung in bed and it's remote control is miserable for this purpose - slippery as wet soap and symmetrical end-to-end. Setting sleep timer involves three buttons + multiple button presses.

I purchased a 32 inch Samsung TV from AMAZON because I had purchased a 46 inch for myself and it was Great , also the service and delivery of it were great so when I needed to get one for a family member I again chose AMAZON for it and sure enough I again got excellent service and delivery on and both of the TV'S are of excellent quality and the picture is great on both of them I recommend both Samsung and AMAZON. Bought the first one and then two weeks later, bought a second.
This TV should be ranked higher than the Sony in my opinion (neighbor has the Sony, so I've seen it).
AT the original purchase, price was a factor...it was priced under the Sony.
1. The picture: Best picture I've seen on an LCD
2. Seamless setup: Plug and play makes this a no-brainer and extremely easy to set it in the stand.
3. Features...too many to list...Top six for me
...on the run picture size (zoom, zoom +, 16.9. etc.)
...Sound alternatives from the remote (surround, speech only, etc.)
...Entertainment mode...movie...music...sports
...Picture modes actually work...Dynamic, standard, etc
...Component (Source) Seamless again...DVD, Cable, etc.
...Well thought out interfaces, side panel connections for Camcorder, digital camera
Only downside is built in speakers, but who doesn't us surround sound now?
