Outstanding Print Quality
Using an advanced patented print head and FINE technology, the IP2600 gives you beautiful, long-lasting borderless prints at a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi with droplets as small as 2 picoliters. The printer can print at sizes from a credit card to 8.5 by 11 inches.

Exceptional Speed
There is no need for a photo-quality print: A borderless 4-by-6-inch lab-quality print takes approximately 55 seconds. The IP2600 also does a fantastic job with printing documents. By using a specially formulated pigment black ink, text is crisp and laser-quality, with a higher resistance to smudging. For black text, the IP2600 can print at up to 22 ppm; for text and graphics, it can print up to 17 ppm.

Support for Various Media and Sizes

This printer prints quicker than the printer it replaced, however, when it pulls paper from the tray, it's quite noisy. The print quallity of color photos are not as good as expected. For a low-price printer, this one is OK.

I bought this for my wife who was always having trouble with her HP printer. I myself have a Canon Pixma iP6000D and have had great success with it. The iP2600 is smaller, simpler and good-looking in black. And works just as well.

My old Lexmark inkjet finally wore out, so I did some research to find a highly rated, low cost replacement. The Canon Pixma iP2600 is easy to set-up and printed documents are excellent quality. As someone else mentioned, ignore the rater who complained about printed pages falling to the ground; they obviously failed to extend the support arm.

Only complaint is that the USB cord isn't included (used the one included with my Canon scanner). Otherwise, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

The start up process is a little bit slow from the start but print quality; I can't complain on that. The sounds coming from the printer sounds unsettling at first but soon quiet down once the machine ready for business. Overall this particular printer performs with the best of those more pricey models that print quality comes up far short in comparison.

Just a wonderful quality item for what it is made to do. Its simple to install; its quiet; its quick; ink cartridges seem to be lasting a reasonable length of time....I just have to say A++++++ and way to go Canon once again.
