Fast, Effective Snow Removal with the Power Curve System
Avoid sore backs caused by shoveling and time wasted taking care of huge, complicated snow blowers. This compact electric shovel employs a streamlined auger drive system, which uses a single rotor with two curved blades to quickly and effectively move snow out of your way.

With a snow-throwing capacity of 300 pounds per minute, you can clear four inches of snow off a 50-by-20-foot driveway in just 20 minutes. With a clearing width of 12 inches and a snow cut depth of six inches per pass, this Power Shovel will let you clean off walkways with a couple quick passes. And weighing in at just 13 pounds, this snow thrower can be lifted, turned, and twisted with ease.

Compact and Easy to Maintain with Electric Power
With no gas or oil to burn through, no spark plugs to change, and no time-consuming tune-ups, this electric snow thrower is a cost-effective, eco-friendly option. Its ultra-compact size makes it easier to maneuver than big, gas-powered units, and it's easier to store, too. Exceptional ease of handling makes the small, versatile Toro Power Shovel ideal for spaces like balconies, decks, and staircases.

When you do want to clear a larger area, you'll appreciate the surprisingly powerful nature of this lightweight machine. It features a series-wound 7.5 Amp motor, which is designed to produce high torque at lower speeds, making it a perfect choice for snow-throwing.

The cord lock system eliminates one of the potential downfalls of using electric products by ensuring your extension cord is reliably locked in place. And with electric power, this snow thrower is easy to start up, even on the coldest days, so you'll never have to worry about the frustration of dealing with a pull cord.

The shovel has an adjustable handle.
Adjustable, Ergonomic Features to Keep You Comfortable
A telescoping handle lets you adjust this snow thrower to fit your height. The height and angle of the operating handle are adjustable too, so you can truly customize the way this tool fits in your hands.

Excellent product-really throws the snow. Only wish it had a method to throw snow to side other than having to point it.

Review by DJC from Cambridge, MA:

The toro powershovel is a great hybrid. Sure its a lot more than a good snow shovel, but its less than more expensive snowthrowers. I use a 40' and 80' extension cord to do my 45' driveway, walkway, steps and back parking area. This little guy does a great job. I can push it with one hand, slowly walking behind and angling the thrown snow off to one side (the snow does shoot 20' so be aware of others). After a few quick passes the job is done. Even deeper compacted snow that builds up due to the plows is easily handled by lowering the powershovel onto the snow.

Review by bob y from boston. massachusetts:

I received this electric shovel as a Christmas gift and am very happy with it's performance. Boston recently had a 3 day snow storm that totaled over a foot of snow.
The first part of the storm was light and fluffy snow. The Toro shovel
made short work of it. The last part of the storm had heavy wet snow.
Again this shovel did the job! It not strong enough to work well on frozen ice like some gas powered snow throwers but for clearing the sidewalk and stairs it's the right choice.

Review by Bryce Conner from Syracuse, NY:

We had about 6" here in Syracuse (Snow Capitol of the U.S.) about a week after this arrived. It works as advertised, and did better than I expected for such a small electric broom. It pushes snow straight forward, so you have to avoid the wind blowing it back. But, they've boosted the amps, obviously, and as others have said, it can plow through that burm that forms at the end of your driveway even when it's more compacted than the snow at large.

It is kind of heavy, but you *can* push it, at least until you hit a bump or a crack on your walkway/driveway. Personally, I hate shoveling snow, and am not in shape to do so. So, call me lazy if you like, but I'd pay the same amount again for this snow broom, not that I'll have to for quite a while, probably. I'll follow up if I'm wrong.

I just wouldn't use it in damp, slushy conditions, as the manual says.

This is my first time using a snow thrower/blower of any kind. I've been shoveling snow by hand through more than 25 New England winters. What a difference!

I hesitated to buy something sooner because of the price and size of the machines my neighbors use. But my driveway is not too large (one car width, 35 feet long) so I figured a small blower might do the trick.

I've used the Toro Power Shovel twice this past week. It was simple to use right out of the box, with no assembly and very few instructions. It is lightweight enough for anyone to use, and adjusts to any person's height (I'm 6'3"). It cleared 6 inches of snow right down to the pavement, even getting up the wet, compact stuff very well. I was able to clear deeper snow by shaving off the top 6 inch layer and then clearing the bottom layer - no problem at all.

It took about 10 minutes to get the technique down. It works best if you stand still and clear a small semicircle area in front of your feet, then move forward and clear more... similar to how you use a vacuum cleaner... as opposed to clearing long rows in the way you would mow a lawn. The machine has a lot of power and throws the snow upward at about 45 degrees, and outward 12-20 feet in front of the machine. It tends to pulverize the snow into a fine stream, so if it's windy make sure you aren't pointing into the wind, or you will get coated with snow quickly.

There is no maintenance needed and no tune up required. The machine works just as well as advertised in the product description. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this product.
