Euro-Pro Shark S3101 Electric Steam Mop

The Shark Steam Mop obliterates tough grime on tile floors; it cleans stubborn dirt off linoleum and vinyl floors / No refills or toxic chemicals needed
Review by Leena1329 from Burbank, CA USA:
Received as Christmas gift and just used for the first time. From my perspective it works the same as a Swiffer Wet Jet. You have to really push it to get the floor clean, for small spots it is fine. Steam came up quickly, especially near the end & I noticed that you have to express remaining steam before putting away. It is quick, simple, & just another mop. The floor doesn't seem any cleaner then before. Matter of fact, the Wet Jet pad is usually dirtier after using than the Shark mop pad was. This review is still out! Got 3 stars for effort. I wouldn't purchase myself.

It's in the box ready to go back after one use. Easy to assemble, easy to use.
Problem is handle is so flimsy that it made me push it carefully so I wouldnt break it. If you have laminate, it leaves streaks pretty bad. I also have travertine and it did tile beautifully except for pushing around the dust. If you set the mop down to move something on the floor, it leaves specks of dirt that have been steamed to your floor that you have to "mop" up before you can keep going.
Overall cleaning was good. Hassle of sponging up dust near walls when done isnt worth it. Also cord isnt too long so you have to prop up mop (leaving specks of dirt on floor) to move cord. Machine doesnt stand on it's own very well.
It's a shame they put such good steam cleaning with such a horribly flimsy casing.

This item performed very poorly for me, and the pad which I used was impossible to clean. Given the other floor cleaners on the market, this is pretty much a waste of money. It gives out a very limited amount of steam, and takes a lot of work to do a thorough job. I would really not spend the money on this one.

I have owned two of these and snapped the neck of each mop while cleaning. I am a small woman, but these are hard to push on wood floors (even after they are warmed up). I owned each less than a month before the cheap plastic neck cracked. It did work well, however, in my tile bathrooms, easy to push and cleaned great. Just not great for wood floors. And, by the way, customer service STINKS! They basically promise to replace their product but in effect just ignore you.
I ignored bad reviews and wasted $80. Buy something else for your wood floors.

Just bought it at good old Costco where it was cheaper than anywhere else and came with 5 pads. It really steamed once I learned how to handle the handle. I did change the pad once because it became dirty quite fast. I did the kitchen twice and spent quite a bit of time on the bathroom, for obvious reasons. I have tile, marble and stone floors. All look good, (though not a shiny as when I towel them) and I love the way it dried quickly, even here in the rainy Northwest. I am quite pleased, because it is simple to use, and much less messy than a mop. I am not a clean freak, but not a slob either. So far, fast, clean and easy works for me.
