Dirt Devil MBV2030BTR Rechargeable Broom vacuum, Butter Yellow

An inexpensive alternative to brooms, dustpans, and bending over to get at the last of the dirt pile, the cordless, bagless, yet surprisingly effective Dirt Devil Broom Vacuum is well suited to heavy-duty sweeping and vacuuming on hard-surface floors of all types. Where it really shines, though, is for quick touch-ups--the dog-hair tumbleweeds and stray Cheerios of everyday life. 60% more powerful than the Broom Vacuum's last incarnation, its 9.6 volt motor has plenty of juice for sucking up debris from tile, laminate, hardwoods, and linoleum. Users with bad backs will appreciate the foot-activated on/off switch, and at just 3-1/2 pounds, without cumbersome power cords to trip over, the unit maneuvers with admirable ease. It's easy to see when the transparent dirt cup is full, and the canister snaps off easily for emptying. Brushed-edge cleaning extends the unit's reach, and the 10-inch-wide nozzle feels more like a broom than a skinny stick vacuum. To recharge, simply plug into the included adaptor when storing. The Dirt Devil Broom Vacuum is not intended for wet spills or carpeted surfaces, but for dry messes, crumbs, and dust, it's a solid value and so easy to use that you just might find yourself sweeping the kitchen floor more often. Sweep up the kitchen floor in record time without repetitive bending with this lightweight broom vacuum from Dirt Devil. The 9.6-volt broom vacuum sucks up dirt and debris from hardwood and other bare floors with ample power, eliminating any need for a dustpan or the accompanying bending over. The cordless broom vacuum sucks up dirt through a 10-inch wide nozzle. Debris travels through a replaceable filter to collect in a dirt cup. The dirt cup removes from the broom vacuum with ease and is see-through for external fullness monitoring. A foot switch engages the broom vacuum's motor. To operate the broom vacuum, employ a standard sweeping movement. The broom vacuum is designed to tackle dry spills rather than puddles and soggy messe

Review by J. Lee from SC:

I purchased the Dirt Devil MBV2030BTR Rechargeable Broom Vacuum for daily spot cleaning. Having pets inside and no carpet in our house, we get accumulations of hair, dust and dander in corners, and under furniture daily. The broom vacuum is a little heavier than expected and the canister is a little troubling to re-attach, but overall it's a usefull product. This product does not replace our weekly, thourough cleaning as the suction is not as good as a normal vacuum cleaner. It also works well on rugs. The charge seems to last about 15-18 minutes with continuous use.

Review by E. JOHNSON from TX:

I have been so incredibly disappointed with this product. It does a decent job of picking up dirt and dust but does nothing for anything else. My little doggies bring in little pieces of dead grass-all this broom does is move it around the floor. Also, little pieces of fake christmas tree 'leaves'-nothing. I was so excited to receive this but it will be going back. It took me twice as long to clean with this broom-I can use my regular vacuum and then mop the floor in a shorter amount of time than it takes me to try and sweep with this product. Save your cash for something else.

Review by Tired of "Junk" from Pollock Pines, CA United States:

Don't waste your money on anything from Dirt Devil, Royal, or Hoover. After less than two years, the rubber gasket that seals the dirt cup with the motor housing has disintegrated; making this unit worthless (no suction).

According to the Dirt Devil company... this part is unavailable at any price; even though this is a current model!!!

Not to mention it did not work all that well even when new.

Review by Anna "The Mom" from Connecticut, USA:

We recently replaced hardwood floors in our house with exotic hardwood and haven't been able to figure out the best way to keep them clean. This was a perfect idea. The dust, hair, and dirt get sucked in by the vacuum part as you collect with the broom. So far so good! We are planning to buy more as gifts :)
