I bought this as a gift for my elderly mother. The above statement was a quote from her. She is using it for her hardcover as well as paperback reading. It works well for holding her cookbooks open, also.

Steve Jobs said no one reads anymore. With today's video games and other amenities being so much easier to do its not surprising. I always wished I could get my hands on a book holder like this. The ones I've seen first were way too expensive and bulky. Recently I did my homework reading up on lots of other book holders but this one is my favorite. I picked up two extra's for my friends since they are inexpensive.

Love this invention! I'm reading a book that is almost 1000 pages and I was sure it was too fat for the holder, but it still works even though it's holding 800 pages on one side! I'm back to buy two more for gifts.

This is the best holder I've seen for propping up a kindle. It holds the kindle firmly at the edges, with or without the cover, and does not get in the way of any buttons. The legs fold up so it's easy to carry. Works on books, too, but it should be standard equipment with a kindle.

I find this product excellently manufactured. It's lightweight, compact and not flimsy.

For me the only downside to this product is it can be a bit bothersome to press the center spring to 'lift' the leg holding the pages in place everytime you turn the page. But one will get used to it eventually if there is really the intent on using it (freeing up your hand from having to hold the book page after page feels good).

I bought this for my voracious young reader because I don't want him crouching over his book and straining his neck. However, it seems he hasn't picked up the habit of using this yet. This doesn't mean the product is bad or he won't use it eventually so I'm keeping it handy around us.

Overall, still a good buy if you read a lot of paperbacks.
