Review by S. Shelton from USA:
It's the 21st century. Companies think it's cute to manufacture products that don't work right. Develop, create, and let the customers be the beta testers. I get it. But, even in my jaded view of product quality standards, I still expect products to turn on.
For example, with this device I expected its failures to be inconsistent readings or consistently incorrect readings. I thought I'd have to replace it 2 or 3 times until I finally got one to work properly because that's the norm for a consumer of 21st century technology.
Unfortunately my unit is dead with no life signs whatsoever. I tried to turn it on: nothing. I double checked the manual on how to turn on the device: nothing. I popped out the batteries and went into a better-lit room to ensure I placed them in properly: nothing. I replaced the batteries with my own: nothing. Popped them out and back in: nothing. I went to the store and bought fresh batteries: NOTHING! I probably spent 20 minutes with the thing trying to figure out how *I* screwed up, but it's not me. It's dead.
Doesn't Bosch perform even the most basic testing on its products before shipping them to the stores? Apparently not.
Nice quality control there Bosch.
BTW: This is why I don't buy electronics online anymore. At least I can take this to the store and have it replaced the next day.

This gives an exact measurement every time! I don't know how I have been installing crown without it. Put an end to using a tape measure and having to guess where the wall actually ends (when measuring inside distances, you have to bend the tape measure and guess where the wall ends). This is also great because you don't need someone to hold the end of the tape measure. It is fast and exact.
Review by Dave from Oregon:
The Bosch Laser Rangefinder is a very accurate tool for the price. Measured against a tape and was exactly the same. There are some features the would be nice if it had them but for about $150 less than other it is just fine. Measure in feet and inches instead if inches, but for the savings I can do the math.
Review by Curtis Smith from philadelphia:
this is to my work what the light saber was to luke skywalker i go for a kitchen estimate im out in minutes with all the measurements and no asking for help holding the dumb end of the tape anymore.most of all you dont need to move things around either.

Pro's:
Great tool, does what it's meant to do.
Takes measurements quickly and very accurately.
Easy to use, clear instructions manual.
Great value for money.
Only possible con I can think of:
- you can only store 1 measurement in its memory, though you can add and substract data to/from memory.
