ADC Tape Measure

There are tape measures, and then there are tape measures. Just like an impressive business card case, this is a seriously essential accessory for modern design

I needed to replace my fabric tape measure and this one, with retractable tape, is perfect. The retractor button works smoothly with no problems, and the tape is plenty long enough for the measuring I need it for. I like that it's small and compact - not as bulky as the traditional wider tapes. I have a tiny bag that I keep at hand for quick sewing/mending jobs; a needle case, bobbin of thread, seam ripper, embroidery scissors, thimble, and a measuring tape. This is just the right size for my kit. And the price is right.

The tape measure itself is fine. It has a push button to release the tape (You can pull it without the release, however it clicks every 2" or so, as it has a lock-in feature as well.) and to rewind it when you're done using it.

My issue is that mine didn't come with the metal covered pull tab that is pictured, it came with a flimsy, bulky, plastic loop and it has actually torn through and away from the tape itself. Meaning, I have to leave 1½-2" hanging out, to be able to grasp the end and use it, or I'll end up buying a new one. It's a little disappointing seeing as how it's only been used roughly 3 times a week since the middle of January (Until I noticed the tear, end of March).

This tape measure is functional and compact. Also has a button on top for quick retraction. Good for simple measurements.
