Very quick and easy to install. Have four of these in the garage side by side. Finally found the easiest way for my wife to deal with getting the bike out of the way and almost effortlessly. A little tricky getting both hooks and pulling a rope but as long as you have teeth you can master this in seconds.

Review by Michael F. Rogers from S. Lyon, MI USA:

The price was right and it mounted easily except for changing the length of the screws used into the ceiling. But I can see how if your seat and handle bars are of different style then mine the hooks mightn't not hold on!

Review by Kyle from Georgia:

The product worked as advertised. You may connect it in parallel directly to the joist, but will need a 2x4 piece of wood if you desire to connect it perpendicular to the beams. The brake works very well - if you suddenly let go of the rope, it immediately stops. I recommend threading the rope through each stage (there are 4 sections) before mounting to the ceiling.

One thing that you should know is that it is not really possible to get your bike all the way to the ceiling. I tried placing the clips in different places (i.e. wheels, bar, etc.), but then the balance of the system was lost and it became difficult to raise uniformly. So, be aware if your overhead is tight. You should add about 6-10 inches onto the height of your bike to determine how low it will hang.

There were a lot of higher priced alternatives, but this one worked fine. I started with 2, but will be purchasing more in the future. I highly recommend this product.

decent value for the money. mine wouldn't balance the load very well. It would lift the front very far before balancing the rear. This is probably due to cheap pulleys. I can't dog it too much, it is very inexpensive.

Review by Nadia van Cloce from Oakland, CA USA:

Maybe two-and-a-half stars? The rope supplied was flimsy, frays easily, and will need to be replaced soon. The two "hooks" were actually L-shaped, would not reliably hold my bike seat and handlebars, and had to be reshaped on a vise. Installation was difficult, requiring mounting the unit on a 2x4, climbing a ladder with it, holding the unit in place with one hand, and starting the screws with the other hand. Two persons and two ladders would be really nice (and much safer).

But, the price was good. And (if you have a 12-foot ceiling in your garage), it is nice having the bikes completely out of the way, with foot traffic underneath.
