Global Distinctions Buy-One-Get-One-Free Inside Ottoman Set, Brown

These ottomans are great. I bought 2, but if I had more room I would buy more. I have been looking for an ottoman for over a year - I'm a huge budget shopper. I was a little worried about buying something online with out trying it out in person, but its good.

I ordered these for Xmas for my husband. After reading about the smell in other reviews, I was a bit hesitant, and when we unpacked them they did have an odor. It was a chemical smell, but it wasn't to bad. A week later, I can still smell it if I am really close. That's the only complaint. They are sturdy and nice=looking. I have a 3-year-old bouncing all over them, and so far, so good. I think they were definitely worth the price.

Looks great, like someone else mentioned there is a real bad "chemical" smell when you take the lid off... Otherwise they are made nicely and a deal for 31.99 shipped! Good thing to have some fabulous highly scented candles burning for that...

After myriad reviews warning about a terrible "turpentine" or "gasoline" smell, I figured that my purchase of the brown ottoman set would be a gamble at best. However, it shipped extremely fast, and when I opened the box, there was not too much smell at all - no more or less than when you buy any cheaply made plastic thing (Come on, you DO get what you pay for!). The smell was slight enough that I didn't need to air it out at all or relegate it to the garage or anything. I'm using them as small nightstands next to my bed (if you have a bed without boxsprings, that is about the height the taller ottoman comes to), and next to the rest of my dark furniture, they look great! There was one deep scuff in the tray that won't rub out, but my alarm clock covers it so I don't mind.

Overall: I'm very happy! I may have eventually been able to hunt down something similar at Goodwill, but considering the convenience of just being able to click "Buy" and pay a penny for shipping, this is a great deal.

I recieved the ottoman set, love it. the only thing when purchasing it at a gold box deal was the misleading title of buy-one-get-one-free ottoman "set" (which is 2 pieces). these are sold as sets and when purchasing them on this advertisement they split the set into 2 pieces and I was only sent one set, amazon explained I got the ottoman with in insert only and not another completed set as advertised. very disappointed with this add. I called amazon and was given the run around between amazon and the company that merchandises these Item. Amazon did give me a phone number for the global distinctions company, when I called the number it was for a global hair extensions.
