If you're looking for the cleanest air possible, the Filtrete Ultra Allergen filter is the best 1-inch disposable filter on the market. No problems using it. While the filter is more restrictive, it seems to compensate by having more pleats (larger area).

We use these because the air quality in our area is not great. Combine that along with normal indoor air polution and it really helps to have such a good filter cleaning our air. It's worth the larger price if you have any kind of allergies or sinus issues at all!

These really keep the dust and allergens down. DO NOT BUT CHEAP FILTERS EVER!!! You can buy less expensive ones but we have a new baby and we feel that a cleaner enviorment would be better.
