It might say it only works for up 143-pound user weight capacity, but I'm here to tell you it works for 160 pound adults as well. It's primary use is by my 7 year old son. However, prior to purchasing my wife a bike I had to use this for family bike rides. Amazingly this scooter not only withstood a beating I put it through, but also was capable of speeds of fast biking on various paved terrains.
