I'm surprised to see the negative reviews of this product. I have used these tablets and have had no leaks due to ice damming since. Obviously they will not get rid of the dams entirely, but if you use enough of them, the melting snow will run down into the gutters rather than pool up on your roof. If you have a home where using a snow rake is difficult, these tablets are the way to go.

I hoped that this would be the easy answer to our roof dam issues....it was NOT!!!! This did not seem to be doing anything as far as melting the snow/ice...so I put one on in the snow on the ground and left it to see what would happen. What happened?? NOTHING. Please...save your money and put it towards a roof rake.
