I was pleasantly surprised to find the Korg CA-40 Chromatic Tuner lived up to its expectation - based on user reviews. A great price point, compact, but not too small, an easy-to-read LCD display, a well designed built-in stand, and a very brief learning curve with a simple to understand operation manual helps make this unit an excellent complement for virtually any instrument & any skill-level musician. Can you say "Depress the ON Button"? I LOVE the efficacy of the 'Sound Out Mode', which enables the user to arbitrarily select a note, or scale of notes, & hear a precise tonal output. This is a great way to learn the sound of a specific note by both visually seeing the displayed note on the LCD, & hearing the audible pitch of the single note or chord.

Brought for my daughter who play cello at the middle school's orchestra. Easy to use and bring to school.

I bought one of these to help me tune my piano, which was about a half note flat across the entire keyboard. I followed a tutorial that recommended this brand of chromatic tuner. I used the tuner to help me fine-tune the middle C octave, then did most of the rest by ear (as recommended by the tutorial). The tuner worked very well and I liked the digital "needle" to help me visualize the notes. All in all, it took me about 3 hours to complete and my piano sounds a lot better now. This product did its job flawlessly.

I bought this for my ukulele and it works like a dream. Great price, great product.

I bought this tuner to replace my first tuner, a QuickTune which gave up the ghost after eight years, and my second, a Seiko that lasted almost that long. The Kung is better than either of the first two - needle movement more precise, and the display of the note is much more legible. BUY IT!
